Celebrate Recovery

We WELCOME YOU!

Join us every Tuesday evening at 7 PM.

Emmanuel Christian Church is involved in a ministry called Celebrate Recovery. This is MORE than a sermon or a Bible Study. It is a way that can help the hurting move beyond their wounds to experience the healing liberty of Christ. God wants you to recover from these hurts, habits and hang-ups.

The Road to Recovery:
The 8 steps Based on the Beatitudes:

Realize I'm not God: I admit I am powerless to control my tendency to do the wrong thing and my life is unmanagable.
Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He has the power to help me recover.
Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ's care and control.
Openly examine and confess my faults to God, to myself, and to someone I trust.
Voluntarily submit to every change God wants to make in my life and humbly ask Him to remove my character defects.
Evaluate all my relationships, offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me and make amends for harm I've done to others except, when to do so, would harm them or others.
Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, Bible reading and prayer, in order to know God and His will for my life and gain the power to do it.
Yield myself to God to be used to bring the "Good News" to others by both my example and my words.

For it is God who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
II Corinthians 4:6
